BYD, the world’s leading manufacturer of new energy vehicles (NEVs), in partnership with ACMobility, has officially opened its first dealership in Bulacan. The opening of BYD Baliwag is an important step in the region’s shift to sustainable transportation. The local government has pledged to modernize its city fleet with electric vehicles (EVs).
The grand opening event was held at the new showroom in Baliwag City, starting with a motorcade, followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by dealership and brand executives. Notable attendees included BYD Baliwag president Anton Macasieb and BYD Philippines’ country head Erroll Duenas and deputy general manager Lovelyn Labrador.

In his welcome remarks, Macasieb emphasized that the dealership is more than just a business; it represents a commitment to a new energy future for the province.
“This is the first home of BYD not only in Baliwag but also in Bulacan,” Macasieb stated. “We realized that this is part of the future. We envision quieter streets, cleaner air, safer cars, zero emissions, and, most importantly, happy drivers and happy communities.”
Macasieb thanked the team led by general manager Warren Lacson and contractor JF Balahadia for completing the facility in just 6 months. He noted that the dealership aims to serve as a hub where Bulakenyos can enjoy a progressive and prosperous automotive experience.
On hand to show support and represent Baliwag Mayor Sonia “Mommy” Estrella was Vice Mayor Ferdie Estrella, who announced the local government’s plan to transition its service fleet to EVs.
“I suggested to the Mayor to replace the service vehicles of City Hall with full electric ones. And of course, we will acquire them here at BYD Baliwag,” Estrella announced, noting that BYD was a top brand while highlighting that the city’s shift to EVs as timely, considering the high fuel consumption of traditional government fleets. “This is the right moment for us to switch to full electric vehicles for our City Hall employees,” he added.
The celebration included a traditional Chinese dragon and lion dance to bring good fortune to the new venture. After the blessing and ribbon-cutting, guests witnessed a ceremonial turnover of keys from ACMobility to the dealer principal.

BYD Baliwag is now open to serve customers, offering sales, service, and spare parts to the growing market of EV users in central Luzon.
