Inchcape Philippines, the exclusive distributor of Changan in the country, aims to redefine its role in sustainable mobility by launching its electric vehicle (EV) lineup at the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) from April 10 to 13, 2025 at the World Trade Center, Pasay City.
With over 160 years of global industrial expertise—65 of which spent in automotive innovation—Changan has remained one of the largest and most established automotive brands in China. Through its key research and development centers in China, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States, the brand will soon deliver vehicles with innovative mobility solutions and sustainable driving technologies for the Filipino people.
Diverse, electrifying lineup
To date, Changan in the Philippines offers 7 models powered by internal combustion engines—spanning an array of sedans, crossovers, and SUVs. Solidifying the diverse lineup, this April, Changan will be introducing 4 electrified models powered by 3 different new energy vehicle (NEV) technologies. These are plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV), range extended electric vehicle (REEV), and battery electric vehicle (BEV)—all part of the brand’s goal for carbon neutrality, and to support the growing market demand for a sustainable mobility option.
Changan 101
Three out of the 4 upcoming models will sport Changan’s 101 logo which represents the brand’s mid-range EV line. Globally, Changan 101 occupies the position of “Digital Intelligence Evolution New Vehicle,” leading the brand’s transformation to the era of the digital intelligence vehicle where new cars are simple, friendly, intelligent, and futuristic.
The Changan 101 logo integrates the “square” and “circle” in oriental philosophy. The “circle” is inclusive, with natural beauty; while the “square” is the law, symbolizing numerical intelligence and technology. The binary digits “0” and “1” also depict constant evolution and endless innovation. Overall, it continues to resonate with the brand’s values of people-centricity, innovation, openness, and inclusiveness.
