Isuzu Philippines Corp’s LCVs (light commercial vehicles) the D-MAX pick-up and the mu-X SUV were recently in the spotlight for two different reasons.
The Isuzu D-MAX had been named the “Pick-up of the Year” for the third consecutive year by the C! Magazine Awards, underlining the vehicle’s dominant presence in the automotive industry. On the other hand, the 2024 mu-X was launched, this latest iteration featuring a combination of robust engineering and exclusive design, and redefining the standards for safety, convenience, and driving pleasure, solidifying Isuzu’s legacy in the segment.
The awarding ceremony for the D-MAX was led by Cecil Buenviaje, newly appointed chief operating officer of C! Magazine, presenting the award to IPC led by president Tetsuya Fujita and assistant sales division head Robert Carlos.

The new mu-X is equipped with an around view monitor (AVM). In an industry-first, the mu-X introduces a digital video recorder (DVR) with the capability to record continuously for up to 11 hours on a 64GB microSD card. This feature ensures enhanced security and peace of mind for the driver with its dual or single view replay and proximity recording across all four cameras, appealing to those who value security and sophistication in their vehicle of choice.
Powered by the reliable 4JJ3-TCX 3.0-liter Blue Power engine, the new mu-X delivers 190PS of maximum power and 450Nm of torque, providing confidence on the road and the power needed for weekend getaways.
