All roads lead to Cavinti, Laguna as the inaugural Trail Venture Epic Trophy (TVET) officially flags off from Sept. 23 to 27, hosted on the lakeside grounds of The Hamptons Caliraya. Presented by Regasco and the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), the five-day gathering unites three core components into a single outdoor festival: The flagship Trophy 4×4 Competition, a family-friendly Overlanding and Moto-Camping Village, and an interactive 4×4 Equipment Expo and Swap Meet.
TVET is organized by Trail Venture Corp, an off-road and overlanding collective spearheaded by actor, sportsman, and avid 4×4 enthusiast Albert Martinez. Designed as a premier national proving ground, the championship transitions beyond local bragging rights: The winning squad will represent the Philippines in premier international off-road challenges across Malaysia (including the renowned Borneo Safari), Indonesia, and Thailand.
Martinez said, “The Trail Venture Epic Trophy is envisioned to be the penultimate 4×4 competition in the country. The winning team will represent the Philippines in international 4×4 competitions in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand. We plan to make TVET an annual event.”
3 core pillars: Competition, expo, and camp
1. Trophy 4×4 Competition (Sept. 23–27)
Scrutineering and flag-off (Sept. 23): Teams arrive for technical machine inspections and safety scrutineering at The Hamptons Clubhouse, followed by a ceremonial motorcade around Caliraya and a Welcome Fellowship Dinner.
Jungle trail tasks (Sept. 24–26): Five-vehicle teams (combining factory-spec rigs, heavily modified off-roaders, and enduro motorcycles) navigate demanding jungle trails and technical team obstacles across disused logging tracks around Cavinti. Saturday features the high-stakes Regasco “Matira Matibay” Cup.
Grand finale (Sept. 27): Returning teams complete final special stages and obstacle tasks on the Hamptons grounds, culminating in the awarding of the TVET Perpetual Trophy.
2. TVET Expo and demo rides (Sept. 25–27)
Show floor and swap meet: Opens Friday, Sept. 25, at 11 a.m. following a media tour. Enthusiasts can explore the latest 4×4 accessories, recovery equipment, and camping gear, or trade parts at the community swap meet.
On- and off-road test drives: Visitors can test drive new 4×4 platforms, hybrid/range-extender rigs, and adventure motorcycles on designated paved and dirt courses throughout Saturday and Sunday.
3. TVET Overlanding and moto-camping (Sept. 25–27)
Community campgrounds: Dozens of 4×4 overlanding clubs and moto-campers will set up 3-day, 2-night basecamps.
Family activities: Daytime events feature a camp cook-off competition, family outdoor games, and RC (remote control) rock crawler obstacle challenges.
Evening gatherings: Unwinds with live acoustic sets, outdoor open-air movie screenings, a community barbecue fellowship, and the Best Camp Setup Awards.
4×4 Overlanding registration: P3,000 per rig (includes dedicated camp slot, 2 event shirts, 2 caps, vehicle decal, Expo passport, and sponsor raffle coupons).
Moto-Camping Registration: P1,000 per motorcycle (includes camp slot, 1 event shirt, decal, Expo passport, and sponsor giveaways).
The event is supported by Gigglepin Winch Systems, FastCat Ferry, Kawasaki Motors Philippines, 212/ROX Motors, WRU GPS Tracking, and AM4x4.
