P1 million donation

Isuzu gives hospitals new P1 million donation

As part of its “Road to Progress” vision launched at its 25th inaugural anniversary in support of sustainable development goals (SDG), Isuzu Philippines Corp (IPC) initiated a cash donation project to select hospitals nationwide. Specifically aiming to promote good health and well-being in communities, IPC gave a total of P1 million donation to four hospitals in different regions, with each hospital receiving P250,000 cash to aid in their projects and necessities.

The first two P250,000 checks were turned over to Northern Mindanao Medical Center in Cagayan De Oro and Irosin District Hospital in Sorsogon. As the year ends, IPC consummates its pledge by handing out the remaining P250,000 checks to the Philippine Children’s Medical Center (PCMC) in Quezon City and Dumarao Medicare Hospital in Capiz.

The two handover ceremonies were led by Imelda Bernas, IPC‘s assistant vice president for administration, and Robert Carlos, sales assistant division head.

PCMC is a government-run hospital specializing in pediatrics. Apart from catering to pediatric patients, PCMC also serves as a training ground for specialists. It’s currently expanding and enhancing facilities to serve patients and trainees better. With IPC’s support, PCMC will be able to build a waiting shed to protect patients, parents, and personnel.

Meanwhile, Dumarao Medicare Hospital (DMH), which is also a government-run hospital in Dumarao, Capiz province, will be able to purchase more medical supplies and medicines for its patients.
