Isuzu Philippines Corp (IPC), together with its Cebu dealer partner Iconic Dealership Inc (IDI), donated essential relief supplies for 200 families in Barangay Poblacion, San Remigio, one of the municipalities most affected by the recent earthquake in northern Cebu.
The relief drive follows the devastating 6.9-magnitude earthquake that struck Sept 30, impacting over 170,000 individuals and claiming more than 70 lives, according to the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office and the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).
Led by IPC dealer sales department head Mario Ojales and Isuzu Mandaue branch head Eufemio Ybanez, the Isuzu team transported relief goods and bottled water from Mandaue City to San Remigio, which had been placed under a state of calamity and issued a minor sea level disturbance advisory. Isuzu Mobile Medic trucks typically used to provide on-site vehicle assistance were repurposed to deliver vital supplies to affected residents.
“At Isuzu, we believe that being a responsible partner also means stepping up when communities need us most,” said Ojales. “We are committed not only to powering businesses but also to empowering lives, especially in times of crisis.”
“It was truly heartwarming to see how the community came together despite the challenges,” Ybanez added. “We’re grateful to be part of an organization that prioritizes compassion and action, and we’re proud to support our fellow Cebuanos.”

The team was met by Poblacion Barangay Captain Rey Tamboboy, along with other local officials, who assisted in distributing the goods to the survivors. “We are deeply thankful to Isuzu Philippines and Iconic Dealership for their swift response and generosity,” said Tamboboy. “Their support brings hope and comfort to our community during this difficult time.”
