TessDrive.com’s intrepid food gang go on a wacky trip to two restaurants south of Metro Manila – Satya Graha Health Grocer and Restaurant in Los Banos, Laguna and at Firehouse Pizza in Crimson Hotel in Alabang, Muntinlupa, on board the spacious 8-seater multi-purpose vehicle Maxus G50.

In a comic approach reminiscent of classic slapstick films, our three explorers show how easy it is to go out and have a fun time on the dining table, all while observing health and safety protocols to minimize the exposure to the deadly Covid-19 virus, and partaking of only plant-based yet delicious morsels. Yes, we’re both Covid- and cruelty-free for this trip!
The first stop was lunch at Satya Graha Health Grocer and Restaurant, where the gang, composed of renowned Pinoy scientist and radio host Custer Deocaris, breastfeeding advocate Nona Andaya-Castillo, and TessDrive.com editor-in-chief Aries B. Espinosa gorged on these delicious and filling dishes:
Ingredients: Soy fiber protein, tapioca starch, all-purpose flour, baking powder, bamboo fiber, mushroom powder, vegetable seasoning, vegan soy patis (“fish” sauce), sea salt, oats, chia seeds, xanthan gum, turmeric powder, calamansi, spices (thyme, nutmeg, paprika, black pepper, oregano powder, himalayan black salt)

Dinner was held at the Firehouse Pizza at the ground floor of Crimson Hotel, where the trio not only enjoyed a sumptuous Italian-themed dinner of plant-based pizza and pasta, but also witnessed how these dishes were made right before their eyes.

Vegan customers who intend to dine at Firehouse Pizza must specify to the staff that the Quorn product to be used for their orders must be vegan.
The trio’s trip was made even more fun, convenient, and comfortable on board the Maxus G50.
