New PUV saves more money per km vs traditional jeepneys

The Canter Express modern PUV (public utility vehicle, class 3) recently proved that it saves more money per kilometer by achieving an impressive fuel consumption of 8.8 km per liter during an economy run of over 152.7 km that simulated an actual PUV operating environment.

This fuel mileage is seen to save Canter Express owners/operators up to P6.3 per km compared to traditional jeepneys that consume an average of 5.2km per liter.

The Fuso fuel eco-run challenge ran from San Fernando, Pampanga province to Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar, Bataan province, and all the way back within a single day. The run was observed and certified by Automobile Association Philippines (AAP). The truck used for the run featured the 2022 Fuso Canter Modern PUV 3.0L M/T.

“Moving forward, today’s activity is for us to testify to the fuel efficiency of our product. Results will be included as part of the unique selling point and advantage of Fuso vehicles. We assure you that Fuso is ready to provide the best quality and hassle-free transportation to Filipinos across the country.” said Yosuke Nishi, president and CEO of Sojitz Fuso Philippines Corp. (Story and photos courtesy of Fuso Philippines)
