Edmund Araga, president of the Electric Vehicle Association of the Philippines (EVAP) and concurrent president of the Asian Federation of Electric Vehicle Associations (Afeva), recently participated in the Periklindo Electric Vehicle Show at the Jiexpo Kemayoran in Indonesia held April 30 to May 5.

As the Afeva representative, Araga showcased the Afeva movement to support the global EV ecosystem during the event. His participation underscores Afeva’s commitment to promoting sustainable transportation solutions and fostering collaboration among EV associations across Asia and beyond.

The Periklindo EV Show serves as a platform for industry stakeholders to exchange ideas, showcase innovative technologies, and explore opportunities for collaboration in the EV sector. The opening ceremonies were led by Dr. Mueldoko, chair of the Indonesian EV Industry Association (Periklindo), highlighting the growing importance of electric mobility in Indonesia and the wider Asean (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) region.

“We are happy to participate in the Periklindo EV Show and to present the Afeva Movement at the event,” said Araga. “This event provides a valuable opportunity to engage with industry leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders and to promote the adoption of EVs as a key component of sustainable transportation.”

Araga emphasized, “I am happy to show the full support of Afeva to its member association, Periklindo. We hope that this partnership furthers our mission to promote EV adaptation and catalyze the development and harmonization of standards within the region.”

The presence of Araga at the Periklindo EV Show underscores the collaborative efforts of EVAP and Afeva in driving positive change and advancing the EV industry in Asia and beyond.
