Looking at how the majority of our e-trikes are designed these days, the new three- and four-wheel micro-EVs spotted recently in India are a big step up, aesthetically speaking.
Hyundai Motor’s Micro Mobility Concept vehicles were unveiled recently at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 in New Delhi. These vehicles are described as having “customer-centric design and human-centered engineering,” and created to redefine urban mobility. The key design features include an angled windshield for better visibility, enhanced collision protection, a flat floor, and an extended wheelbase to maximize comfort and ergonomics.
Hyundai Motor has been exploring a potential partnership with the TVS Motor Co help develop advanced electric three-wheeler and micro four-wheelers in India. The project seeks to contribute to India’s mobility market and empower last-mile connectivity in Indian cities. TVS Motor Co will explore the manufacturing and marketing of the EVs.
Who’s to say that this initiative won’t be applied or replicated in the Philippines? Given the rapid increase in the sale and ownership of micro-EVs in the country, perhaps a Philippine-based company will manufacture equally good-looking EVs that are also safe to use. We’re looking at you, Electric Vehicle Association of the Philippines.
