Just a few weeks after its exclusive preview for the media and its partners, BAIC Philippines is set to unveil its lineup of SUVs and crossovers to a much larger crowd of automotive aficionados and car seekers.
United Asia Automotive Group Inc (Uaagi), the multi-brand auto distributor, will be taking the helm in bringing BAIC vehicles to the Filipino market.
Here is the roster of BAIC vehicles on display from April 4 to 7 at the World Trade Center:
X55 Verve
The eye-catching X55 Verve is a contender in the highly competitive compact crossover segment, shaking up the segment with class-leading features in a noticeably big and handsome package. It’s equipped with a complete suite of ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) features, including traffic jam assist and automatic parking assist, as well as hands-free power tailgate, and most importantly, 188 hp and 305 Nm of torque from an award-winning engine that is said to be one of the most efficient in the market.
X7 Grandeza
The show-stopping X7 Grandeza builds on the merits of the X55 Verve, especially the award-winning powertrain, and adds luxurious appointments in an even larger and more spacious cabin. The X7 Grandeza provides first-class accommodations, as occupants are pampered in heated and ventilated ottoman seats (with massage function) that are larger and more comfortable than the European models they were benchmarked on. The X7 Grandeza is undoubtedly the most luxurious crossover available in its segment today.
B40 Ragnar
A testament to BAIC’s heritage of toughness and reliability, the Series 40 Ragnar SUV is equipped to tackle any off-road challenge. The B40 Ragnar is powered by a 2.0L Aucan turbo diesel engine with 380 Nm of torque coupled to an 8-speed ZF transmission and a BorgWarner 4WD system. Memories of the journey are instantly recorded by the built-in camera mounted on the digital rear view mirror. Take out the removable roof panels and take in the beauty of the outdoors with the BAIC Series 40 Ragnar SUV.
B80 Wagon
The series 80 Wagon is likewise equipped to impress and to conquer all roads with its class-leading 39-degree approach angle, 25-degree ramp angle, and 33-degree departure angle. The 3.0L twin-turbocharged gasoline engine produces 280 hp and 420 Nm of torque, mounted to a ZF transmission and electronic 4WD system. As a true luxury SUV, this BAIC model is installed with a powerful sound system with built-in subwoofer. The series 80 Wagon’s iconic and imposing design is a nod to BAIC’s history of producing military vehicles.
B60 Beaumont
The BAIC B60 Beaumont is a mountain of a metal beast, measuring over 5 meters long, this 7-seater showcases all of the latest BAIC technologies in a tough and massive sculpted body. The series 60 Beaumont SUV will be the first in the market to have a 2.0L diesel hybrid powertrain mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. This SUV also features 9 drive modes to ensure optimal performance on all kinds of terrain.
Uaagi Performance Center
As anticipation builds for the MIAS 2024, BAIC PH invites automotive enthusiasts and industry insiders to get a firsthand experience behind the wheel of BAIC vehicles at the UAAGI Performance Center at the BAIC Colonnade booth. The performance center is a unified test drive arena for Uaagi’s auto brands designed to provide buyers with an immersive experience beyond static displays.
It comprises a technical 4×4 track which accentuates the strengths of Uaagi’s more rugged vehicle offerings; and, for a more dynamic experience, a thoughtfully calculated mini-gymkhana awaits.
Aside from the state-of-the-art BAIC PH main display, guests will also find the distributor’s express lane of approvals under the umbrella of Uaagi Business Center, housing the brand’s finance and dealership negotiation team.
