TessDrive highlights how automotive and mobility leaders direct resources to where they matter most—from inDrive providing holistic physical, mental, and livelihood care to frontline drivers, to Ford Philippines mobilizing multi-sector bayanihan across Luzon and Mindanao for Global Caring Month.
inDrive prioritizes driver health via Wellness Day
In an industry where frontline transport providers spend exhaustive hours behind the wheel navigating congested urban roads, global mobility platform inDrive Philippines staged its dedicated Driver Wellness Day last Oct. 16. Designed to champion the human element powering daily transit, the initiative delivered comprehensive physical health examinations, mental resilience training, and financial livelihood coaching directly to registered drivers.

Recognizing that irregular schedules and prolonged sitting often cause transport workers to defer preventative medical care, inDrive made on-site clinical services immediately accessible. Participating partner drivers received doctor consultations, full physical examinations, and vital-sign biometric evaluations covering cardiovascular and metabolic checks (blood pressure, heart rate, and blood sugar testing) and health baselines (body mass index or BMI assessments) and preventative medical advice.
Beyond diagnostic health checks, the initiative emphasized stress release and psychosocial well-being. Drivers participated in group fitness Zumba sessions, followed by a dedicated mental wellness workshop led by mental health speaker Darwin Magpili, who shared strategies on managing on-road fatigue, road aggression, and daily psychological stress.
inDrive Philippines country driver operations lead Vanessa Taqueban noted: “Our drivers spend their days making sure that others get where they need to go, so we wanted to create a space where they could take a step back and focus on themselves. Through our Wellness Day, we wanted to remind our drivers that their health, well-being, and livelihood matter to us. By bringing essential health services, wellness activities, and practical resources closer to them, we hope to support them not only on the road but in their everyday lives as well.”
Livelihood pathways
Addressing long-term stability, inDrive conducted practical financial and entrepreneurial workshops to guide drivers toward sustainable household budgeting and diversified income opportunities.

The gathering also featured inDrive chief product officer Sidd Mantri, who outlined upcoming app and platform developments engineered specifically for the Philippine market to improve daily earning efficiency and safety. The event concluded with community games and a mobile device raffle to upgrade drivers’ workplace tools.

Ford PH turns passion to purpose during Global Caring Month
Demonstrating corporate volunteerism in action, Ford Philippines completed its month-long Global Caring Month campaign, deploying corporate personnel, dealer teams, and partner networks to execute community outreach projects across the archipelago.

Collaborating with the Gawad Kalinga Community Development Foundation, American Chamber Foundation, and cultural education advocate Cartwheel Foundation, the 2026 rollout supported marginalized children, elderly care homes, indigenous youth, and suburban community infrastructure.
Key outreach milestones nationwide:
o Indigenous learning in Davao City: In partnership with the Philippine Eagle Foundation and dealership partner Ford Davao, volunteers unveiled ceremonial markers for outdoor classroom facilities serving 6 indigenous peoples (IP) communities. Ford personnel facilitated storytelling, cultural exchanges, birdwatching, and micro-entrepreneurship coaching.

o Elderly care in Batangas: Ford Philippines and Ford Batangas personnel visited the Tahanan ng Mahal na Ina ng Guadalupe in San Jose, Batangas—a sanctuary operated by the Missionary Sisters of Evangelization caring for 25 abandoned and impoverished elderly women—delivering vital medicines, groceries, personal hygiene essentials, and social interaction.

o Cavite community ‘bayanihan’: Over 40 Ford Philippines employees, led by managing director Pedro Simoes, joined residents at Gawad Kalinga PNOC Olaes Village in Cavite. The team repainted community schools, multi-purpose halls, livelihood hubs, and sports courts, while assembling Bayong ng Pag-Asa food hampers containing fresh farm vegetables and pantry staples for over 120 families.
o Child welfare and heritage education: With the Cartwheel Foundation Partnership, Ford volunteers supported indigenous children in Parañaque with hot meals, academic tutoring, and culturally grounded psychosocial support. Volunteers also visited the Rev. Fr. Vincenzo Idà Children’s Home in Batangas, Little Angels Home Inc. (LAHI), and Munting Tahanan ng Nazareth, providing pediatric vitamins, clothes, essential dry goods, and interactive recreational sessions for orphaned and special-needs children.

Ford Philippines director of government and corporate affairs Kent Primor stated: “Global Caring Month is an opportunity for us to come together as a Ford family and reaffirm our commitment to giving back to the communities around us. While these activities are an important part of our efforts, our work does not end with Global Caring Month. We are continuing this commitment beyond September focused on supporting communities and creating meaningful impact.”
