Kia Philippines, operating under Ayala Group’s ACMobility, is preparing to significantly widen its local electric footprint with back-to-back model launches scheduled for the final quarter of 2026. Heading into the final stretch of the year, the Korean marque is set to introduce the Kia EV3 and the Kia PV5, expanding its electrified offerings beyond personal passenger crossovers into versatile compact segments and purpose-built commercial logistics.

Spotlight on the EV3 and PV5
The official launch of the EV3 is slated this month, and is positioned as the entry point for first-time EV buyers and eco-conscious motorists, the EV3 brings the angular, futuristic design language of the flagship EV9 into compact city-friendly dimensions. Recognized globally as the 2025 World Car of the Year, the compact electric SUV is built on the dedicated E-GMP platform, packing accessible smart tech, practical driving range, and signature Star Map LED lighting.
The Philippine debut of the PV5 is in October, marking the domestic debut of Kia’s dedicated Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV) business, the all-electric PV5 is engineered around a flexible, modular skateboard architecture. Spearheading the local rollout is the PV5 Cargo variant, tailored specifically for logistics fleets, last-mile couriers, corporate services, and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) seeking low running costs and high cargo volume.
The two incoming models will complement Kia’s established zero-emission offerings already catering to active professionals and executive families:
The EV5: Built for professionals and active lifestyle drivers, the EV5 pairs an 88.1-kWh LFP battery with a front electric motor producing 217 PS and 310 Nm of torque. It delivers up to 550 km of driving range on a single charge and features dual 12.3-inch displays, Kia DriveWise active safety aids, a 360-degree surround view monitor, and 3.6-kW vehicle-to-load (V2L) bidirectional power capability;
The EV9: The flagship three-row electric SUV delivers executive-tier refinement, highlighted by power-adjustable, ventilated second-row relaxation seats with integrated massage functions. Operating on an 800-V charging architecture, its dual-motor all-wheel-drive system delivers 384 PS and 700 Nm of torque, accelerating to 100 kph in 5.3 seconds. Its 99.8-kWh battery yields up to 505 km of range and recharges from 10% to 80% in under 30 minutes via 350-kW DC fast chargers—credentials that earned it both World Car of the Year and World Electric Vehicle of the Year honors in 2024.
ACMobility nationwide charging
To ensure uninterrupted mobility for incoming and existing EV owners, Kia’s portfolio is fully supported by ACMobility’s nationwide charging infrastructure. Spanning over 200 charging locations linking northern Luzon (Pagudpud) down to Mindanao (General Santos City), the network provides reliable destination and highway charging integrated directly into the Evro app.
