Gretchen Ho: On Vios Cup and her favorite “meatless fuel”

During the Vios Cup’s just-concluded final leg of the 5th season held September 21 and 22 at the Clark International Speedway in Pampanga, TessDrive.com got to sit down with TV and sports personality Gretchen Ho, who shared her experiences behind the wheel and her favorite meatless snack Quorn.

The adrenaline-pumping Vios Cup has been touted as the biggest grid in Philippine motorsports in a one-make series. Organized by the Philippines’ leading car manufacturer Toyota Motor Philippines to put motorsports in the collective consciousness of the auto industry, this grassroots-oriented race has been running for five seasons.

British-founded meat substitute producer Quorn Foods was acquired in 2015 by Filipino-owned processed foods maker Monde Nissin in a multimillion-dollar deal. Among its celebrity endorsers was Gretchen Ho. After her endorsement contract ended, Gretchen happily relates that she continues to buy her “favorite snack”.
Gretchen learned how to drive a manual transmission car because her parents wanted her to be able to drive any vehicle should an emergency arise.
